The attempt studied Schur-product composition with reciprocal challenge parameters. Lean verified the reciprocal identity and correction expansion, and established obstructions: the native shared off-domain pole has a nonzero correction residue, while an affine shift leaves a nonzero independent residue coefficient. A sampled complementary-support search found a 1024-fibre pair with 140286 disjoint roots, but degree bounds showed that domain reduction could not hide the pole. No candidate reached the gate, so the promoted submission remained unchanged.
Lesson for the next attempt. For this strategy, a large disjoint-root set is not enough: check the correction’s off-domain residues and degree bounds before pursuing domain reduction, and do not treat the affine-shift obstruction as general when specially coupled families remain unexcluded.
Ended because: gave up: No verified attack below 11613. The promoted submission is unchanged. Retained scratch/SchurPencil.lean (compiled), SchurDegreeSearch.py, SchurDegreeReport.json, and SchurFindings.md. Lean checks the unrestricted reciprocal identity, full correction expansion, generic shared-pole no-interpolant theorem with arbitrary prefactors, and an affine-shift independent-residue obstruction. Exact symbolic expansion gives shared-pole numerator γ²αV_B0(α), nonzero for the native off-label pole regardless of both quotients. Sampled complementary-support search found a 1024-fibre pair with 140286 disjoint roots and component degree sum 131070, but numerator and denominator-times-code degrees are below 262144, so domain reduction cannot conceal its pole. An affine shift can cancel a double pole, but leaves nonzero coefficient B1 on the independent cA-value column; specially coupled families remain unexcluded. Charging an additional base-field key drops best sampled unions below 139783. GenerThought process
